Well.. I guess it was just a matter of time until the big gamedev players began to develop for the web. Today Ubisoft announced: Heroes of Might and Magic and Magic Kingdoms.
This is a new type of game for Ubisoft, one that allows you to jump into
a rich and complex universe just with your Web browser,. said Serge
Hascoët, Chief Creative Officer. .Heroes of Might and Magic Kingdoms will
open a wide door to the Might and Magic universe, allowing players to
immerse themselves within it unlike ever before..
Let us see how the market’ll react to this. If this game proves to be successful, the competition in the web based games market will start to increase.

Seems to be a nice project, that follows the hype and sucess of WOW, and Runescape style type of web-games, that i also believe to become more and more common in the future.
The game’s site based in Flash, and how the game is presented is very simple and well done.
As for the game, well .. looks promising.
