It’s hard when we build a web application that runs smoothly in all mainstream browsers, and the customer demands a sign in every page stating: This site is optimized for IE7.

Don’t worry. In no time your customer will probably be paying extra for an update to the site: the text must be changed to read This site is optimized for IE8

Don’t get mad, get even:
“This site is optimized for IE7”
But doing this will probably trigger the IE hidden block bug, so beware…

There should be a comment after “for IE7″, as in
“…for IE ”
This worked far too well…
